As a projector for the Homecinema sector, the Optoma UHD50X is equipped with 3400 ANSI lumens, a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution and a contrast of 500000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 5.5 years. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without digital image artifacts. The Projection Calculator is available for room planning. Looking at practical performance, up to 592 cm can be illuminated with 3400 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 395 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. This model dates back to 2020 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range.
