Based on DLP technology, the Optoma DS328 device delivers 2800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600 and a contrast of 13000:1 as a projector. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 4500 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. Regarding projection size, the value of 2800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 461 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 307 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
