The WU470 model from Optoma combines DLP technology in the Standard-Portabel sector with 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a native WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 2500 hours. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Regarding projection size, the value of 5000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 29 decibels. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
