Equipped with DLP technology, the Optoma W308STe offers 3600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 22000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 6000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 8.2 years possible. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 104 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 3600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 610 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 407 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 26 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
