According to Optoma, the X501 model provides 4500 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 15000:1 alongside a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2500 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Projector Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 4500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 584 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 389 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (15W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 27 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
