The projector ZK810T by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 7200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1100:1 at a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Distance Calculator. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 252 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 862 cm can be illuminated with 7200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 575 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
