As a projector for the Homecinema sector, the Optoma HD72i is equipped with 1300 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 3500:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 1300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 244 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 27 decibels. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
