With the HD200X, Optoma offers a BrilliantColor-DLP projector that features 1500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 393 cm can be illuminated with 1500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 262 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. This model continues to hold a solid place in our database search queries.

Hello, I‘ve had the Optoma HD200x hanging from the ceiling since Sept 2011. My (first) lamp currently has 6023 hours on it.
Unfortunately, the fan broke yesterday.
I would buy an Optoma projector again at any time.

without or with screen
hello guys. i don‘t have a screen and project on rough fiber wallpaper. The elevations are not visible at all and in my opinion the picture is top!
now what is your opinion, is there a recognizable difference with a screen?
otherwise the device is awesome.

Excellent overall result!
I started using the projector about a week ago and I have to say: great, just great. Unbeatable for this price!
The full HD image is simply amazing, I cant confirm loud fan noise. I built a home theater and when you watch TV over the home theater you cant hear it. I watch in eco mode, where it is even quieter. But it doesnt lose any picture quality. Its just a little less bright. But thats not a problem. The picture alignment is childs play.
I havent been able to find any negative things. Except! projector ceiling mounts are only available for the projector and cost a little more. BUT! It has nothing to do with the performance of the projector =)
I recommend it! Buy buy buy =)

Price - Performance - Top device
I have now also bought the Optoma HD 200X, and it has been under the ceiling for about 4 weeks. The HD picture (PS3 with Blu Ray "Our World") is simply top for this price.
Have also tried out various live concert DVDs from RUSH, GENESIS, PINK-FLOYD and ALTER BRIDGE and the light show and laser colors come across 1A.
The PS3 game and soccer on Sky in HD look great and since it is very quiet it doesn‘t disturb at all. colors, contrast and the black level are remarkably good, I don‘t find any RGB effects either. bought it for 750€ on the Internet and would do it again. fine device.

The projector has been in operation for 2 weeks.The installation (ceiling mounting) was a bit tedious because of the optimal alignment, a lens shift correction would help here.Colors and contrast are very good and the black level is also optimal after adjusting the settings (brightness).RGB effects can neither I nor the rest of my family perceive.The projector is mostly fed with HD material but also the normal PAL TV picture is OK.At this price under 900 € there is currently no better Full HD projector.

I‘m really very happy with the set!
Colors and contrast are brilliant, especially with 1080p output material. The black level could perhaps be a little better. On the other hand, the picture is very balanced overall and the fan noise doesn‘t bother me at all. The limited setting options are also perfectly adequate for my installation location.
I‘m going to have a lot of fun with this device!
