With the HD28B, Optoma offers a 3D-DLP projector that features 3800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 30000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 5000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. A look at the light output reveals: The 3800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 626 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 417 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
