Based on DLP technology, the Optoma ES522 projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 2800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. According to Optoma, the lamp has a durability of 3000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 2800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 461 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 307 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. This model dates back to 2009 and is no longer part of Optoma's current product range.

I bought the Optoma ES520 from Penny for €199, but it was defective. As Penny no longer had any, I sent the device to Optoma. After a short time I received the successor model ES522. The Optoma ES522 differs from its predecessor, the ES520, in that it has a slightly higher light output. It has 2800 instead of 2600 Ansilumen. The fans are quiet in both standard and bright mode. The lamp lasts 3000 hours in bright mode and 4000 hours in standard mode. A replacement lamp costs approx. 170,-€. The picture is very bright, even in ambient light. The colors are vivid and the projector can also display higher resolutions than native. The offer is rounded off with an enclosed remote control with laser pointer. This makes the projector suitable for home cinema as well as presentations. Ceiling mounting is also possible. The only downside is the lack of a zoom lens. You can‘t get a better projector for this price. My absolute recommendation to buy!!!
