Based on DLP technology, the Optoma DS348 device delivers 3000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600 and a contrast of 20000:1 as a projector. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 6.8 years. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 29 decibels. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
