The projector EX762 by Optoma operates as a 3D-BrilliantColor-DLP device with 4000 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast of 3000:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 367 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.

The projector is significantly louder than specified. Instead of 29dB, we measured 35-36 dB in Eco mode. In standard mode it was even 45 dB and not 30 dB as stated. It is also significantly louder in a subjective comparison with our old NEC VT590 (29 dB / 34 dB). Otherwise, it delivers a great picture.
