As a projector, the Optoma HD8200 combines DLP technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 1300 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 20000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Regarding projection size, the value of 1300 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 366 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 244 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 26 decibels. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
