According to Optoma, the DS550 model provides 2600 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 alongside a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 5000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 6.8 years possible. A look at the light output reveals: The 2600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 444 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 296 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. With a value of only 30 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. The projector was released in 2011 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
