The projector ZU820TST by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 7400 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1100:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 7400 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 874 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 583 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable.
