This projector from Optoma utilizes 3D-LED-DLP technology, achieving 3000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1800000:1 at a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 30000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 20.5 years at 4 hours a day. The device is available in black and white color options. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 50 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 3000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 556 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 371 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2022 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
