The hardware properties of the CinemaX D2 Smart manufactured by Optoma include 3000 ANSI lumens, a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution and a contrast value of 1800000:1. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. The device is available in black and white color options. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 50 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 556 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 371 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Android TV is integrated as a smart platform, enabling direct access to streaming services like Netflix or YouTube. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
