With the Home Cinema 3800, Epson USA offers a 3D-Laser-LCD projector that features 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 40000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3500 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Lens Shift Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly.
