The Optoma HD28DSE is a 3D-DLP projector offering 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 30000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours. A daily usage of 2 hours makes an operational lifespan of 5.5 years possible. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 29 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
