The H78DC3 model from Optoma combines DLP technology in the Homecinema sector with 800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000:1 and a native HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Projection Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 287 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 191 cm. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 25 decibels. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
