Behind the name GT3900UHD is a 3D-DLP projector by Optoma, whose main features include 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 300000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 30000 hours, covering an estimated 20.5 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 98 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 544 cm can be illuminated with 4000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 363 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since the projector supports optional Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background.
