A projector from Christie is the MIRAGE WU3, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 3000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 2000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 1500 hours. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 556 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 371 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2009 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
