Based on DLP technology, the Christie MIRAGE WU18 projects images in a Event environment, with technical specs listing 18000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. According to Christie, the included lamp lasts up to 750 hours. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 1363 cm can be illuminated with 18000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 909 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2009 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
