Behind the name DW30 neu is a DLP projector by Christie, whose main features include 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000:1 and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 508 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 339 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. This model dates back to 2005 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range.
