A projector from Christie is the 4k1600-JS, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 14000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 and a contrast of 25000:1. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 1202 cm can be illuminated with 14000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 801 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable.
