A projector from Barco is the FS40-WU MKII, whose 3D-Laser-DLP model delivers 2800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 and a contrast of 1800:1. The manufacturer specifies a durability of 50000 hours for the LED light source. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 34.2 years. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 538 cm can be illuminated with 2800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 359 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. The HDBaseT connection particularly shows its strengths in complex installations, enabling long transmission paths with standard CAT cables.
