Based on DLP technology, the Christie Matrix 4000 projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. According to Christie, the included lamp lasts up to 1000 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 367 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
