The projector MATRIX WU5 by Christie utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 5100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 726 cm can be illuminated with 5100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 484 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2009, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
