Behind the name 4K22-HS is a 3D-Laser-DLP projector by Christie, whose main features include 19000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 4000000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. A look at the light output reveals: The 19000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1400 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 933 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
