Based on LCD technology, the Christie LX40 projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Christie, the included lamp lasts up to 1500 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 367 cm. The projector was released in 2005 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
