Behind the name HD8Kc is a DLP projector by Christie, whose main features include 7000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 850 cm can be illuminated with 7000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 567 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2006 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
