The Home Cinema 5040UBe is a 3D-LCD projector by Epson USA, whose specifications list 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3500 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 2500 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 508 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 339 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 24 decibels. This model dates back to 2016 and is no longer part of Epson USA's current product range.
