The basic data of the Epson USA PowerLite Cinema 500 includes 1000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720 as well as a contrast of 1200:1. According to Epson USA, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 321 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 214 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 27 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
