Behind the name PowerLite S17 is a LCD projector by Epson USA, whose main features include 2700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 and a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.8 years when used for 2 hours a day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Regarding projection size, the value of 2700 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 453 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 302 cm. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
