The projector PowerLite 2040 by Epson USA utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 4200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 5000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.8 years when used for 2 hours a day. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. Looking at practical performance, up to 564 cm can be illuminated with 4200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 376 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
