Designed for the Short Distance sector, the BrightLink GoBoard 780Fi model from Epson USA features 4100 ANSI lumens, a native HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution and a contrast ratio of 25000000:1. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 50 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 4100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 651 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 434 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. Furthermore, thanks to Android TV, the projector functions as a standalone entertainment center for various video-on-demand services. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2023 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
