As a projector, the Epson USA Movie Mate 72 combines LCD technology with a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720, and is additionally specified with 1200 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1000:1. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 1200 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 352 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 235 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The projector was released in 2007 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
