A projector from Epson USA is the PowerLite 7850P, whose LCD model delivers 3500 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 700:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 2000 hours before a replacement is necessary. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 515 cm can be illuminated with 3500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 343 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2003, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
