The basic data of the Epson USA PowerLite 1985WU includes 4800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200 as well as a contrast of 10000:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 3000 hours. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Regarding projection size, the value of 4800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 704 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 469 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
