Known as the PowerLite 1780W, this LED-LCD projector by Epson USA features basic specs of 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 10000:1 at a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. According to Epson USA, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. A look at the light output reveals: The 3000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 556 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 371 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device.
