With the FS40-WU, Barco offers a 3D-DLP projector that features 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1800:1 and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. Barco lists a runtime of 50000 hours for the LED in this projector. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 34.2 years. For maximum setup flexibility, the model supports optional interchangeable lenses, meaning the optics can be precisely matched to individual on-site requirements. Suitable distances can be determined using the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 508 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 339 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. The HDBaseT connection particularly shows its strengths in complex installations, enabling long transmission paths with standard CAT cables. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
