Based on DLP technology, the Barco UDX-W22 projects images in a E-Cinema environment, with technical specs listing 22000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. With its laser unit, the projector offers a specified light lifespan of 20000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 13.7 years at 4 hours a day. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Projector Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 1507 cm can be illuminated with 22000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 1005 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
