The projector SLM R9+ Performer by Barco utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 9000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1250:1 at a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 1500 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 9000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 826 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 551 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Since entering the market in 2004, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
