The SP2K-15 is a DLP projector by Barco, whose specifications list 14800 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a HD2K 2048 x 1080 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 40000 hours – equivalent to a usable life of 27.4 years at 4 hours a day. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 1059 cm can be illuminated with 14800 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 706 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. The projector was released in 2021 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
