Known as the FLM HD18, this DLP projector by Barco features basic specs of 18000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1800:1 at a HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 750 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 18000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1363 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 909 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.
