Model Overview The basic data of the Barco UDX-4K40 FLEX includes 39000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WQXGA 2560 x 1600 as well as a contrast of 2200:1. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use.
The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Projection Calculator.
Looking at practical performance, up to 1720 cm can be illuminated with 39000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 1147 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams.
For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable.
