The Prometheus III model from Barco combines DLP technology in the Event sector with 11500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 600:1 and a native UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 resolution. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 30000 hours – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Lens Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 11500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1016 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 677 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
