Based on DLP technology, the Barco RLM W8 projects images in a Stationary environment, with technical specs listing 7300 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2200:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. According to Barco, the lamp has a durability of 1500 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 7300 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 868 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 579 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Barco. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
