Equipped with DLP technology, the Barco HDX W14 offers 14500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2600:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. According to Barco, the lamp has a durability of 1250 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 14500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1223 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 815 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2011, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
