The projector DP2K-8SLP by Barco operates as a 3D-DLP device with 7000 ANSI lumens, a HD2K 2048 x 1080 resolution and a contrast of 2000:1. The laser technology ensures a specified light source lifespan of up to 30000 hours. Daily use of 4 hours makes an operational lifespan of over 20.5 years possible. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 729 cm can be illuminated with 7000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 486 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Since entering the market in 2019, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
